What are you doing in 2010? I tuned 60. I’m still in school, I’m having so much fun with my two boys now ages five and eight and I’m playing in a rockabilly band. I’m playing the most physical instrument there is – drums. People ask how I can do it. I remind them at 65-years old Buddy Rich was the fastest drummer in the world. It’s all in the way you think. Happy New Year.

The Senate Health Bill. Immediate reaction needed
Recently
, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a
two-page amendment courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new
government-run health plan. It took me less than a minute to sign up to require our congressmen and senators to drink at the same trough! Three cheers for Congressman John Fleming of Louisiana!
Congressman John Fleming (Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt).
Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and sign his petition (very simple - just first, last and email). I have immediately done just that at

Please urge as many people as you can to do the same!
If Congress forces this on the American people, the Congressmen should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families. To do otherwise is the height of hypocrisy! Please pass this on!!

So what are your New Year’s resolutions? Are you going to keep them this year? Are you going to quit smoking AGAIN? Are you going to quit drinking AGAIN? Are you going to treat everyone nicer AGAIN? It seems that we all make the same resolutions every year and THIS year we plan to stick to them. But again, this year we will not. By the first of February we will be right back to the same old habits. And by February our government will still be running our lives and spending our money the way they want to and they will have a great New Year at our expense. So this year, why not make a resolution to change that? This year, why not vote for someone different? This year, let’s show the government that we’re taking our country back. They have had it long enough. They think they are invincible, but they’re not. I, for one, am tired of hearing everybody talking about how bad our government is. Talking about it does nothing. I am a man of action. You should be too. I’m not talking anymore. I’m going to do something about it. I’m going to vote my Senators and Congressmen and Representatives of the House out of office and vote for someone new. I’m going to vote for a new governor of my state. I’m going to vote for all different county commissioners I’m going to do my part to elect all new people on the local, state and National level and I suggest you do the same. As one we are nothing, but as a group we are something to be reckoned with. Join me and let’s get this country back on track in 2010. It will be the best thing we can do.

Sunnyvale Named Happiest Place in U.S.
Sunnyvale, Calif. is home to the happiest people in the America, according to a story by CBS 5.
Gallup-Healthways Well Being Index surveyed and ranked the happiness of people in 435 congressional districts across the country. The 14th district, which includes Sunnyvale, Mountain View and Palo Alto, received the No. 1 ranking. Of those, Sunnyvale came out on top with its residents ranking highest in physical and emotional health, work quality and access to services. Residents also believe they have great schools, great jobs and great weather, the story said, and it has also been named the best run city in America.
