Motivational speakers get on stage and spend people time and in some cases their hard earned money, and all they do is quote a bunch of famous dead people.

The sales team gets a motivational speech from someone who has sold more then them. The production team gets a motivational speech from someone who has produced more than them. 

They leave the speech feeling up and ready to take on the world. And then, two hours later, they're back down to real life. Motivational speakers just don't work. They don't get to the real problem that the people in the audiences have.

The real problem is their lives aren't what they want them to be; they don't have the relaltionships with their children or spouse that they would like to have, they don't feel appreciated at work, they don't realize that they can make the life of their choice, they're working more and making less and its affecting their lives at home.

When you have this problem, it doesn't matter how motivated you make them, it's just not going to do any good.

Corporations have used motivational speakers out of habit; it's always been done that way. They don't realize they're wasting their money. That's why I try to get to the heart of the situation. I don't try to motivate people into doing a better job at work. I try to understand what's happening to them in their personal lives and look for ways to make it better.

When you're happy at home, you're happy at work. Motivational speakers don't realize this. That's why I'm not considered a motivational speaker. I want to give you something that will work. That's what my four keys to a successful life is all about.

It's all about how you can make the life of your choice. The four keys are: 1) Challenge yourself everyday. 2) Never accept failure. 3) Laugh everyday. And 4) Realize that you are where you are right now because of choices in life that you made.
