George Carlin's Solution to Save Gasoline
Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use.....
The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants!
That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down....Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the Border....When they catch illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq ... Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military....Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it.....After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country..... He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot..... .This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves....If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo..... Problem solved.....

Maybes

Maybe we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one
so that, when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be
grateful for that gift.

Maybe when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but, often times, we
look so long at the closed door that we don't even see the new one which has
been opened for us.

Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but it is
also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives.

Maybe the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Maybe the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; after
all, you can't go on successfully in life until you let go of your past
mistakes, failures, and heartaches.

Maybe you should dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go, be
what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all
the things you dream of, and want to do.

Maybe there are moments in life when you miss someone -- a parent, a spouse,
a friend, a child, your girlfriend/boyfriend -- so much that you just want
to sneak them out of your dreams and hug them for real- because those
moments make you appreciate them so much more when they *are* around.

Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing
with, and never say a word.

Maybe you should always try to put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel
that something could hurt you, it would probably hurt someone else, too.

Maybe you should do something nice for someone every single day, even if it
is simply to leave them alone.

Maybe giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love
you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it. If they don't find
a place for you in their heart, be content that you found a place for them
in yours.

Maybe happiness waits for all those who cry, all those who hurt, all those
who have searched, and all those who have tried, because they can best
appreciate the importance of all the people who have touched their lives.

Maybe you shouldn't go for looks alone, they deceive. Don't go for wealth,
it fades away. Find someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a
smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one who makes your heart
smile.

Maybe you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials
to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy.

Maybe you should try to live your life to the fullest. Life is short and
there are no "do-over" once you're gone.

After Christmas Relaxation

The holidays are over. You can finally kick up your feet and rest. The kids will be happy for awhile with all their new toys and your spouse will be back at work and out of your hair.

What a perfect time to learn meditation. It’s a great way to relieve stress. Just 30-minutes a day is all it takes.

There are hundreds of books to teach you how to meditate. Do yourself a favor, go get one. It’ll be your Christmas gift to yourself. All you need to do is about 20-30 minutes a day. You will immediately notice an improvement in your well being.

Go ahead, put meditation on your resolution list and stick with it. By this time next year you will be a new person, more vibrant thinner, healthier and more energy.

Meditation does to your mentality what a physical workout does your body.

When you can’t have laughter, meditation is the answer.

Rules from God for 2008

1. Wake Up !! Decide to have a good day. "Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart." I Samuel 16:7

3 Shut Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul." Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!...
For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..." Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!... To the Lord. "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!...
For something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!... Your Prayers. "Do not worry about anything; Instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."
