I was a club comedian for twenty years before becoming a Christian comedian. I didn’t even know it existed. Comedy is the anti-Christ of entertainment.  How can you be a Christian and a comedian at the same time?

I was tired of working clubs for a bunch of drunk 25-year-olds who don’t even respect themselves, much less anyone else around them. I got on line and started searching for other places to practice my craft and there is was, Christian comedy; clean comedy that the entire family can enjoy; parents grandparents and children can sit together and laugh and not be offended. It’s not humor about Christians, or the church or the preacher or God, it’s just clean humor about family. No foul language, no adult subject matter.

Believe it or not, Christians like to laugh and God wants you to laugh, and now you don’t have to go to comedy clubs and sit around a bunch of drunk 25-year olds and listen to foul language and adult subject matter. You can get your laughter in church. Several churches all across America are doing a Christian comedy night once a month. It’s a great way to get the youth and non-church goers into church. And they’re great audiences. 

This is where I need to be, especially since I now have two children. If I’m going to raise them right, I have to get right first, right?  I cleaned up my act and I have never looked back.  Now I can now do my act anywhere, anytime. I could only work comedy clubs before.

Anyone who is interested in doing comedy, I urge you, write clean. You will get more work and better work. Use your humor to make a difference in people’s lives. Do more than just make them laugh, make them take action.
